I um ... don't have anything to say!
Whups, I do! I got access to Topaz Studio 2. I have no idea what changed since last I tried, but I'm not complaining. Quote is from the movie I robot. Not a bad film, but it in no way has anything to do with Azimov's classic story-which-needs-no-improvement. If it ainten't broke, don't fix it!

Excellent work! Another great POV here for your text. Perfect. And I love the feel of this scene in the way you presented your robot emotionally. This is so absolutely cool too. I recognized this quote in the first sentence. The scene in that movie when the discarded robots are huddled together in the storage container? That so totally got to me. Super fantastic stuff here!
I loved that quote. Best part of the movie.
Touching scene, made more so by the quote. It's been too long since I read Azimove's story to be able to compare it accurately, except to say I know it was better than the movie. The book is always better than the movie. Even when they try to do an accurate representation (which is rare), something gets lost in translation.
Same. I read the book when I was in my teens. This one just popped into my head. That quote was the only thing I could think of to go with it
I love the reflective robot viewing the teddy works very well with the quote. I must admit I haven't read the story, I only watched the movie. I really liked the movie so if you think the book was better, the book must have been really good :)
Well, Azimov is tough to read. He's very scientific but really isn't known for beatific wordage. He's been accused of being a bit dry.
this is so top notch work Shawn, the view of the lonely robot and the mood feel grabs you. love the low lighting for the setting.
I love Alan Parsons Project! Everyone needs a buddy, so I gave him a teddy bear.
Thought provoking picture and quote. Nicely done!
Thank yah kindly!
ein sehr schöner Render
Thank you!
Stunning!
Thanks!
Nice one. I agree that the book was far better than the movie as usual, though sometimes they do come close. Alien comes close to the book, for example, though they missed out one important little scene that would have made it a perfect adaptation of the book. The robot with a teddy bear is very evocative, I would not have thought of that! Hey this guy must have some kind of emotions, so give him some proper company and maybe something useful to do! Feeling useful is really good for us, so probably good for any creature we create.
He's been abandoned for long enough he's likely developed a theory of mind, So I had to give him a teddy for company. Maybe I'll do a follow up for this fellow.
Moving robot
Thanks!
deep concepts, worthy of consideration.
Thanks!
One truly has to wonder.. In 10,000 years will Mars be populated by a society of robots stemming from the ones there now?
Sojourner (1997), Spirit (2004), Opportunity (2004), Curiosity (2012), and Perseverance (2021). China’s Zhurong rover landed in 2021, and the Ingenuity helicopter accompanied Perseverance.
A most excellent scene, good sir!
That's an expensive population to maintain. Mars is hostile to machinery as well as us. Mind you, it's better to populate it with machines, because a long term human presence is not likely very viable. At least not an extensive population.
It's funny. Mars had all it needed for life once, a denser atmosphere and water. All it needed was a magnetic field. If it's core hadn't cooled, it would still have those. As it is now, the air pressure on Mars is LOWER than what we produce in vacuum chambers here. The rest was stripped away by the solar wind long ago.
Excellent work!
Thanks!
Watch out ! The era of the thinking robot has just begun !
We only have to worry about mass layoffs as corporations try to save a buck. AI still cant find it's own face in a mirror.
Fantastic and interesting, lonely robot.
Thanks. at least he has a teddy.
