Man, this image is filled with energy, mystery, powerful contrasts, beauty...
I love the pose of the woman (angelica), like she's peering into distant dreams...and the contrasts of her gold trim with the brown of her vest (or cape)...and that eye-poppiing white in her hand---her sword? (not sure what she's holding, but I wouldn't want to run into it on a bad night)...And the stunning gray in her outfit. You've always been a master of color, steve; and of contrasts. It's so intuitive in you, it knocks me out. And she's got blue eyes too...
Behind her is a gate to a marble sky...love that sky! This is a knockout of an image, steve. And those two "lights" on the bottom (left and right)---they're like night lights to guide someone through the complexities of this image.

I don't deserve all the kind things you say about me (I'm an idiot half the time, believe me!), but it gives me something to reach for, and I'm very grateful, esp on my birthday. (77, dude. I'm 3 years from 80. Your gift makes me feel a lot younger.) You've always supported me grandly, and I'm very grateful for all of it.
