Description
Grocery Stalls at Protiv (1)
As I mentioned previously, the family farm is 2 km distant from the local village, Protiv.
Doing the shopping is a biweekly habit of Bourieva and Nova. They have, in their mind, prepared a grocery list.
Access to the village from their home is through mostly trails in the woods.They usually carry a shoulder bag, a backpack and a basket for carrying their purchase groceries.
If they plan to sell their produce like their fermented pickles, or to return empty barrels of beer, or to exchange one of their chickens for a younger and more fertile chicken, they will use a hand-drawn carriage as illustrated on the front page of this series.
