With the crew gathered in the dining hall, Navarre stood silently looking at the curious faces seated before him. "We have some new faces with us today. Welcome to the Orpheus. No doubt the most bizarre posting you will ever have." He drew a deep breath. "We have today to get our new friends settled and get some rest. In the morning we commence cargo operations. This is going to take about a week." He paused for a moment, seeing the acceptance on the faces before him. He nodded curtly then continued. "As per ship operations, only security is permitted to be armed unless an emergency is active. Our destination is Earth." He smiled broadly. "This is a veery lucrative haul, so we will all receive a generous payment portion. Then a five day layover once the unload is completed." "Five days at Earth?" Sil glanced up suddenly with a broad smile. "Really?" "Really." Navarre grinned. "I can visit family and friends at the Mars colonies." "There's your chance." Navarre chuckled.
