No AI here, folks…. This is the real deal… Wrinkles and all. But still in love after all these (55) years.
Just a quick update: Jo is doing well, but still in the rehab center. She’s getting therapy daily and doing quite well. The staff at the center all love her and are doing a great job.
She still cannot put any weight on that right ankle (it was a very severe break – 3 fracture points) so she’s having to learn to get around mostly with the left leg. It’s not easy. But she’s a brave lady, and I’m proud of her.
We see the surgeon on the 11th, and hopefully he’ll have some good news for us. United Health Care said this would be the last week they would cover, but an appeal has been filed, so we’ll see what happens. They’ve ordered a wheelchair for when she comes home.
For myself, I’ve been busy with tons of paperwork, and still cleaning up the mess the scammers made out of our accounts and so on. Thankfully we have a great friend who is the manager of our local branch, and she’s been a life-saver.
I’m still tied up with a lot of stuff but have been popping in when I get a chance. I’m still going to be mostly out of action here for the foreseeable future, but in the few spare moments I have, I’m doing some re-writing on the TNA story. It WILL be back! I don’t know exactly when, but hopefully sooner than later. Don’t give up on the Girls

You and Jo are like two bright stars with sparks of love. It's a Dutch expression, but you'll understand it (I hope). Something like this in English: You can't see anything else than love when you look at each other, the sparks are everywhere and you're more than happy. It was great to see Tara here, and your reaction on here speaks of progress with Jo's revalidation/recovery, your brave Jo, right? I also went to your blog and even took the liberty of writing a comment there; what I really hope is that I haven't 'left behind' any stupid things.
p.s. Karel and I are married this year 48, lol still 7 years to go? ;-)

Long story short, we got hit with a scam, and while dealing with that, Jo passed out and fell off the stool she was sitting on, and broke her right ankle in 3 places.
Thus far, 2026 has sucked for us.
Sorry to hear that Rod. People just suck. My brother's girlfriend was hit a couple times and it really sucks. There was no getting the money back for her. Hopefully things improve moving forward.
