This artwork was inspired by the last photo I have of my dear Austin where he sees his reflection in the glass top of my mom’s desk. He sure loved to make a mess wherever he could, like most parrots, so of course I had to make a mess of seeds for him here. He died in 2011 of unknown causes. Still, 15 years later and we still talk often and fondly of him. He was one special little bird.
