Description

This is a radiosity "test" render (as a bit of fun) from an animation I'm currently working on. I imported the DAZ songbird into C4D XL R8 and totally rigged it up with a new bones system, so that I could incorporate the flight feathers. Certainly learnt a lot about MOCCA over the past week LOL! The nest box is modelled and textured from an example at the top of my garden. The final animation will hopefully include a full model of my garden, and I will probably fore go the radiosity, for a more render friendly lighting setup.

JEEZ this is good! This may well be the most photo-realistic image I've ever seen from C4D. The texturing on the birdbox is absolutely unbelievably good, and you've captured the life-like motion of the birdie perfectly. Great work - I am in awe!

Now this is excellent. Would love to see it as an animation when you're done. A definite contender for the 3D World gallery.

Been just back from a stroll in your gallery, to leave my notes on the image that first caught my eye. Gotta be quick, 'cause software stores should be closing by now and I have to buy me this proggie! (Hey, just kidding, I know that the software helps but the artist makes all the difference. As in your case. Look forward to seeing that animation soon!) BTW, why that pesky scrolling thing won't go past the 'excellent' rating? Think mine's stuck =)

Outstanding... lovely color and textures! My only nit, if it were to be picked would be that the plane of the tail feathers is too flat, shouldn't there be more of a flare?

Very nice image. The textures on the birdhouse are very worn but the edges are very sharp and straight. I would suggest making those edges a little more "worn" also. I really like the image very much.
