well I'm back for one comment per gallery, today---it won't be the last one, I promise. But at least I'm commenting on something...
You create art with dark settings as well as anyone I know. I don't know if 3D has "ISO" settings (like cameras do), but to get the clarity you get in dark settings takes a lot of skill in any medium. You've aced that long,, long ago...
I love this piece. The woman (valery?) is in darkness, but she's bathed in a deep-night blue. And her cross and weapon glow in that blue too.
Then she's backed-up by your wonderfully creepy, skeletal trees. (Like primal snakes, slithering to the ground...)
And she's accompanied by a howling wolf on the left, in front of another cross (maybe a grave?) And we see the wolf's breath too---really well done, Steve!
I'm embarrassed to say, I'm utterly ignorant of Valery Helsing---sorry! (Is she from a film? A song? I have no idea. And the web didn't help...) So if I'm missing the story-line, my apologies. But your image tells a story all by itself. That moon---man, that's a moon!
The moon is the light in this piece, and that eye is like a mysterious god looking down on us. And you have faces in the sky. And a mysterious being in the background (a ghost?). And great mysterious lighting from the house.
This thing tells a deep-night tale. Very spooky, very eerie...and, like so many of your works, packed with mysteries and beauties. Love your work Steve. I'll comment on more soon. I hope you're well, and I'll drop you a note soon. You do amazing work...
