Oh these all look nice :)
A have a few more sets just have to change the files format, the AI only saves in Non Jpeg format, well no one said life is easy
@radioham Oh really? I would have thought jpeg as a common format that it would have as an option but I guess not :/
Yes I well remember back in my video editing days the format was Mpeg it was part of the jpeg family and it done a great job even in SVHS but it was eased out with the higher formats after that
@radioham Time certainly keeps on moving with the formats and devices! Hard to keep up sometimes
That they do, but sometimes the new formats are not as good as the ones they try to replace, the video card that I used was the Miro DC 30 it only copied VHS ie. 250 lines but within a few weeks of getting the card the up dated to DC 30+ this was full 400 lines a great jump, you only could do just over 9 mins at a time then they up graded to a add on that allowed you to work on a full video at the one time
@radioham Yeah I agree, things can end up being a step backwards
I had to make up a video of an collage school play at that time I had to make the video on to VHS so I made each 9 mins and rendered it out on SVHS Via a AV mixer the job took days, each time I had to wipe the drives to make room for the next part, Then when all was done had to make 84 VHS Tapes of the show, no such thing as easy ways no large drives, so I could not render to a hard drive, Now days I run 12GB drives, it's a easy life now days
@radioham Wow that's crazy the amount of tricky work you had to do before to get that to work! How things change with technology
Apart from moving up to the AVID system or the other great one system 200 I think it was called. the AVID was used to edit Full movies but you needed a big Bank account needed an Apple computer and a Raid drive system, that was not the price of a house but you needed a house to put it in to. I have only ever seen one of them shall we say it was a full six figures to buy. It did not work on simple VHS or SVHS it was full 70MM widescreen
@radioham Whoa. That's quite the system size!
If you watch the end titles of a movie made before 2012 in most you will see the words EDIT ON AVID newer movies quite often say Edit on Sony but AVID is still used a lot for to make TV programs
@radioham I never really looked too closely at the end titles for a lot of movies but now I'll have to look for those :D
Well the reason I look is down more to being a nosey person Yes the actors make the movie but the special effects time do such great jobs in holden the movie together. Movies nowadays take about two years to make but the actors may be worked three mths. Take a Bond movie yes it would be nothing without Bond but where would it be without the effects
@radioham That is very true! It is amazing when you see how many people were involved in making a film
But when you look back at very old movies and see the large number of extras in some movies like they used to say"Cast of Thousands" it is no wonder it costs so much to make an movie
@radioham Yeah I can see that could up the cost quite a bit!
