Facilitated on the one hand by the fact that many houses and properties lack walls, allowing virtually anyone to walk unhindered to the front door and easily pick up and take any packages left there, and on the other hand by the fact that, despite the widespread prevalence of Christianity, many people there view the commandment "Thou shalt not steal" more as a discretionary rule than a binding moral principle, thousands of such thefts occur nationwide. This is because they are easy to carry out, often go unnoticed in time, and are rarely reported. However, victims are increasingly weary of being robbed in this way, as more and more people are taking action against these thieves by leaving out packages marked for potential thieves. These can be filled with colored glitter in the most harmless cases, which is then detonated remotely like a dust cloud on the thief...or with liquid paint...or, in a more drastic scenario, with animal feces, fart spray, or other olfactory unpleasantness. YouTube is full of these kinds of revenge videos, although it must be said that many of them are AI-generated, but there are also plenty of real ones!
