Well, its done. Hope you like it. Thanks for hints and tips along the way. Now I can move onto smaller, less ambitious pics with a free conscience.

I can't believe that I haven't left a comment for this image yet. I must have seen it a few dozen times or so. One of the most complex renders that I have ever seen. Absolutely great.
if you rendered it at 20k x 15k you could make people starve while trying to catch all the great details :)

If I was to give a suggestion (not necessarily for improvement), it would be that truly great, classical art (meaning reality through artifice) incorporates humanity; perhaps a bit of pathos or humor, maybe even an inside joke. Ya know, I just read through how you made this image and your truly helped me! I was just thinking awile back on how people make such detailed images without causing their comp to explode. I must say you are very good at what you do. I would have never thought of that method. Exellent work! Brovo!
