Description
Although the adult Atlas is often shown holding up a globe of the Earth, I just saw that that wasn’t correct. He was being punished for being on the losing side and was to hold up the celestial sphere. Apparently, some sculptor somewhere messed things up and gave him a terrestrial globe. If that’s true, I should be able to ignore mythical “history” and do a picture of the young Atlas holding a globe of the moon.
