Description
Riquewihr, a popular tourist attraction for its historical architecture, is also known for the Riesling and other wines produced in the village. Riquewihr looks today more or less as it did in the 16th century. It is located on the Route des Vins (The Wines Road), close to Colmar. (source Wikipedia)
Riquewihr is located in my favorite french region : Alsace (or "Elsass" for the Alsacians)
I had a great time visiting this charming village this week. It was interesting to see the architecture of the Middle Age and the wineyards all around the town.
For french people, Alsace is a region with a strong identity and history symbolised by the half-timbered houses, storks, traditional costumes, white wines (such as Riesling or Gewürtztraminer), bretzel, alsacian language and many more... It's not surprising that alsacian peoples are proud of their region !

Tu ravives de fort belle manière les souvenirs que j'ai de cette ville charmante. Il n'y a que toi pour faire d'aussi belles photos...un cadrage parfait qui pousse le regard vers le fond où l'on discerne une église, une colline...c'est superbe sous le soleil.

Ça fait une éternité que je n'y suis pas allé. Apparemment un jour calme, sans trop de touristes. Dans le temps il y avait un peintre (Luc Grün) que j'ai connu.
Tu as été embauchée par l'office du tourisme? On a envie d'y aller ou d'y retourner, car, comme Gaius et Illkirch, ça fait quelques années que je n'y suis pas allé.
