Very impressive model!
I was impressed too :) High amount of detail went into it!
When I use AI to make a image of this great ship it seems not to like the four funnels did you know that only three were working funnels the fourth carried out two jobs one it give air to the men within the engine room and two it looked good give the outwards look of power and speed, also the man who drew the blueprints for the ship wanted and planed for more lifeboats, this was turned down by The White Star Line stating that with the water tight doors the ship would not need any lifeboats at all but they allowed what few there was, how wrong can any one be in the end it was not only the ship line but the crew and those 1500 men women and children who had to pay the cost. the only good thing that came from it was the passing of the law that a ship must have the lifeboats to save everyone. and yet when I look at those large cruse ships I often ask where they store them
Closer to the end of the exhibit, it was highlighted where things went wrong and the amount of lifeboats were one of them. Due to cost they only kept what was legally required which at the time was based on size of the boat rather than how many were actually aboard. It was horrible that by trying to save money it cost a lot more in the lost of people's lives.
In the third image you can see where one of the lifeboats were, I assume they'd just put more around like that but as you say, not sure in regards to the space. Of course, maybe a few luxuries would have had to reduce to accommodate in order to have the space. I'm not sure though.
They did try and blame the duty Officer of the sinking, most ship up to then had two or one screws but the Titanic had three and when they cut the speed the rudder became slugish and of course they also said that they should not have tried to turn that a head on cash would not have sank her their is al so say there was a fire that had been burning before they came out of port they do not know what happen to Captain Smith in the movie that came out in the late 90s they showed that he went in to the Wheel house no one alive knows
There are certainly a lot of mysteries that shroud the Titanic - even the sinking, the different reasons given for why different parts failed - perhaps it was truly just a combination of all the wrong things done. But for sure it is clear they should have had more lifeboats.
