There is a challenge going on over on the deviantArt website, where we are supposed to try to make a landscape that looks like one provided. It is not at all like something I would usually render, the scale, focus and colors are very different. But it’s a gorgeous picture, so I decided to give it a try! A landscape shot, with a single horse out in a field of flowers at sunset. I really liked the render straight out of DAZ Studio, which is the purple-ish one. But I wanted to try to make it more dramatic, so I took it into Pixelmator and started playing with the colors. This is NOT from just a single filter, I made many layers of the image and tinted them different colors, then used the eraser on a low opacity to thin out parts of the layers and bring the colors all together. It took a LOT of trial and error, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out!!! Certainly something outside of my usual comfort zone, but it was fun ^_^ Rendered in Daz Studio Iray.
