Oh so they are edible? that is good to hear, I wasn't brave enough to try :D
Basically they are edible, but only when ripe, means soft and deep red, otherwise they contain a milk-sap, that can irritate the Stomach. Also the leafs and the Bark is toxic, but who wants to chew Bark! ;) Some say that the seeds can cause Hallucinations, but I cannot say if its correct!?
We have here white and black Mulberries, but usually You never have a Chance to get a Fruit ... the Birds are much faster!
Oh wow, that's a tricky plant! I see the berries out a lot, some birds eat them but not as many as I would have thought - usually there are plenty on the tree for a long time.
