Jellyfish are among the strangest, yet most fascinating, creatures we know from the sea.
Majestic in their movements, impressive in their body structure and composition, and sometimes even (extremely) dangerous, as is the case with the so-called "Portuguese man o' war"; those who have had (painful) contact with them will agree.
Nevertheless, the sight of them, at least for me, has a calming, almost hypnotic effect.
Their numbers are likely to increase worldwide, as humans, in their reckless narrow-mindedness, are decimating the jellyfish's predators through overfishing, thereby significantly interfering with marine food chains.
