Lachgar is Moroccan.
The activist, known as an advocate for LGBTQ rights, posted a photo online at the end of July in which she wore a T-shirt with the inscription "Allah is a lesbian." Lachgar wrote that Islam, "like any religious ideology," is fascist and misogynistic. The post sparked strong reactions online.
No human being should be tortured, imprisoned, or even killed for allegedly insulting a fictional being!
That's anti-civilizational and absolutely backward.
