In the Middle Ages, the court jester was an integral part of feasts hosted by aristocrats and kings. He served both as entertainment and as an outlet for the frustration and resentment of, for example, the king. He usually didn't perform this role voluntarily, but was more or less forced.
It's quite different today.
Today, thanks to a far greater reach, better distribution options, and an indestructible sense of mission, hordes of court jesters vie to present their antics to the entire world.
The truly evil thing about it is that they want their mischief to be understood as unquestionable truth.

I generally do not comment on AI images, but both your description and images have a biting truth that shows a level of depth and understanding of the current world situation that has to be acknowledged.
Yeah, those septum piercings, they're a turn-off for me too.
