In mythology, an incubus, plural Incubi, or incubus, plural Incuben (from Latin: incubare, meaning "to lie above," "to hatch"), is a male elf, a nightmarish demon, a forest spirit, or even a sylvan, who mates with a sleeping woman at night without her noticing. The incubus is also considered Satan's representative, responsible for dragging the souls of sinners to hell after their death.
