Today, we are experiencing a steadily increasing level of violence against security forces, i.e., the police and other law enforcement agencies. Many, including myself, consider this to be very problematic in the long run, as it demonstrates a clear departure from the behavior of previous decades, when these state representatives were still treated with something resembling respect and weren't yet the doormat for every dim-witted idiot who can't even write a sentence perfectly, but arrogantly demands "respect" for himself - for whatever reason! The police will no longer be able to handle this situation alone in the long run, and since the army in a democratic state is neither trained nor legally deployable to combat riots, it may be necessary to create a kind of hybrid between the two agencies, a kind of operational police force, partially equipped with military-style equipment (including long-range weapons!) and quickly deployable without requiring large-scale mobilization.
