I just wanted to post something to celebrate the Birthday of my Country.
For my many friends around the world… Please do not let the current “leadership” of our Country define who we are as Americans. Far from it. I’ve tried hard to stay away from politics and will continue to do so. For the most part, anyway....
For those of you in this country, please read and understand the words of our Pledge of Allegiance. Take particular notice of the word “indivisible.”
Live it.
That’s all I’m going to say. No lectures.
I’ve used a stock photo for the background, and an image of the TNA Ladies from a past upload. I’m pretty much buried in a LOT of things at the moment, hence my current lack of activity in the galleries. And interruptions such as this: Rod's Blog .
As I have time, I AM working on the next TNA page. I hope to have it done soon. And I hope everyone here is safe and in good health.

I hear fireworks outside right now; lot's of happy people celebrating and grilling hot dogs around here. In other parts of the country, unfortunately, there's ever increasing division by forces trying to divide and seed hatred -- can this nation be guided back on track or will it go off the rails? I have no idea.
Nor do I, but I'm hoping for the best.
All it takes is a decent bit of common sense. On both sides. Getting into fist-fights, damaging other peoples' property, or shooting at each other accomplishes nothing - other than heartaches. All we really need to do is all sit down and read the instructions.... It's called The Constitution.

Great tribute! Although sometimes the behavior seems strange to "non-americans" (sorry for that ironic comment smile ) we do know that the "leader" and the people of a country "are something completely different". As long as there are people who remember the right direction it should be fine. Thanks for the reminder!
i like the comment above me (shadelix), and I like what you wrote, and agree. I won't go off on it here, to keep it positive, but yes, the leaders are often at odds with the people. In any case, as a man who served nobly and with all his heart (you), i much appreciate your 4th of July message and image. I left a comment on your blog post but don't know if it will post. Just that I sympathize with what you went through with that company, and that it's come to the point now where we have to double check every "hello" with a deep dive into the national archives, census bureau, library of congress and god-knows-what, because people are scamming from every angle now, and just a simple hello is becoming fraught. I'm sorry for all you went through and I hope it's resolved quickly, and without further loss to you and jo. You two deserve that much, god knows!

I did see your comment from my (lengthy) Blog post, and appreciate it. I figured it was a good way to warn others of their tactics, and have a little bit of pay-back since I don't have a B-2 or GBU-57 handy.
Yeah, it's a sad state of affairs the way things are now. I shoulda just told that guy to come back next week after I do some research. Or just told him to turn around and get the 'F' off my property. I hate being rude to folks that are just trying to do their job, but there are lines that shouldn't be crossed, too.

Let history judge the politics is all I will say as I for one am over all the nonsense and stopped following a lot of people here who just cant move on. We have enough problems in our own countries to be honest.
