One of the stupidest reasons to wage war is because of some kind of difference in belief...and the inability of many, regardless of religious affiliation, to accept the different beliefs, non-beliefs, and otherness of others in general. Faith should be exclusively a private matter. No power to people who force you under the banner of a certain religion and determine that you have to hate everyone who doesn't believe the same as you, that they are your enemies, whom you have to kill because a god supposedly wills it! As an atheist, I don't care at all whether or what someone believes, as long as they don't get on my nerves and let their beliefs be a private matter. One can assume that people over a certain age have studied this topic extensively (and not only this one!) and have a strong opinion about it. So you can't force anyone to believe something...especially under the threat or use of physical force. No one becomes a believer because of a threat to their life and limb, and anyone who seriously believes that is, in my eyes, at best an idiot, and at worst simply a criminal reacting out of base instincts. Just stop trying to convert others to something against their will, especially by such means!
