Well, it's a bit of a story, and not what it might seem. Bertie runs the Dead Horse Saloon and he likes a tight ship...no monkey business, Ya know? Every evening Carl comes in from riding the range to tie one on and attempt to arrange a "date" with one of the gals. Now Carl is about as uncouth, unwashed, and rude as a person can be, so none of the gals will give him the time of day...not even from last week! He always blows his top, pulls out his pistol and proceeds to threaten the peace of Bertie's less and less amused customers, and inevitably shoots off a few rounds accidentally. So far nobody has been hurt... Well, this evening, Bertie and a couple of the more talented gals decided to attempt to defuse the situation ahead of time. While Carl is distracted with the prospect of a possible "date" (in his mind), Collie exercises her "light fingered proclivities" on Carl's sidearm. (She is talented, isn't she?) I don't think Carl will be amused, but there will be a few less holes in the ceiling tonight. This is a revision of an older post that I liked, but that didn't quite hit the mark. There are a number of smaller revisions, but the addition of a slightly darker vignette border and a lightening of the character's heads area gave a little more depth and oomph.
