Description
I enjoy my Daz Studio, but these pictures are to commemorate my late Father's wartime achievements.
1/. Letter from King George, congratulating my Father for his award of the Military Cross.
2/. Picture of a Chevrolet truck used by the S.O.E. in North Africa and elsewhere in the Far East.
3/. My Father with the leaders of the Albanian Resistance, whom he trained in terrorist explosives.
4/. Message from Author David Smiley inside a book featuring my Father and other SOE operatives in Albania.
5/. Two of the American Doctors whom my Father rescued after a Dakota crashed in inclement weather.
A total of 30 American Medical personnel were safely repatriated to the United States. Thank you for stopping by.

Excellent post!
What an amazing tribute darling! I know you have a lot of information on your dad's endeavours. Rod is right he is a true hero and there should have been a film made especially as he helped save all those American nurses. Cathy x
The Women were higher-ranking, fully qualified Doctors assembled by the Americans to ship urgently needed medical support directly to the battlefield. The Nurses were Male.

Super insight. We have just had armed forces day here.
Great tribute and great images. I'm sorry to say my dad was not a hero but just a soldier happy to be back home in 1941, as I've been told.
