Description
If I thought creating Asajj Ventress, a character whose only been seen in stylized animation, was difficult then creating a character who has never been "seen" outside of a book was even harder. Her likeness in the comics and on book covers is all over the place. I finally decided just to look for what few details there are about her in the source, the Thrawn Trilogy, and go from there with whatever I felt like. Long strawberry blonde hair, green eyes, and long sleeves with which to hide things under... check, check, and check. I've heard her lightsaber should be more magenta than purple, so I went with that.
So, what do you think of my Mara Jade? I might change the black bodysuit to a different model but haven't decided yet. This one is okay for now.

Great realization of this SW universe book character! Yeah, pity she didn't make the transition to the live or cg screen media, but her character was so well-written by Timothy Zahn than even the good plusDisn writers (a scarce lot) could not figure out how to put her in their plots. Fantastic character and render for sure!
Thank you again! :) I think George Lucas didn't like Mara Jade and neither does Dave Filoni so that means it's very unlikely that she'll make the live screen transition. Also, they already screwed up Luke's story (that's another thing for another time LOL) so there wouldn't be as much for Mara to do unless someone got really, really creative.

Mara Jade is a character in the books by Timothy Zhan. He wrote the book "Heir to the Empire" and several others since. If you haven't read that one or any in the "Thrawn Trilogy" I highly recommend it. When you have time of course which, who does anymore?? :D Thanks, Rod!
