Paul stared out through the bay window in disbelief. He watched as the last flames vanished from sight, erasing all traces of the freight modules or the fighters that held them.
He couldn't quite comprehend what he had just witnessed.
What had changed in the way they had operated? What had brought this upon them now?
There was one difference. The slow, dawning realization had started new questions in his mind.
