She gasped as she glanced up. "Captain, a Federation starship has suddenly appeared and on a swift approach."
"Federation?" He stared down at the readings on her console. "Well." He chuckled. "Way out of their area. They have no jurisdiction here in the Fringe."
"But the cargo modules." She interjected.
"Too bad for them. They're too late. There's nothing they can do about it out here."
"They've raised shields." She stated in a slightly raised voice.
"Shields?" He stood stunned, unsure that he had heard her correctly.
"Charging weapons!"
"Not here." He stared at the readings, still unable to comprehend what he was seeing and hearing. "They can't be serious."
