....their big baby mind you, but still their baby!
I didn't realize before but when observing more closely, once the baby is older and able to walk and fly around, they still get fed by their parents. They'll squawk and open their mouths waiting for food like when they were younger. Even when they lose their fluffy feathers and look like adults, while they'll start hunting around for their own food, they'll hunt near where the parents are hunting for food - when their parent finds something, they'll still all come running over with their mouths open and yes their parents will still feed them.
So I learned their parents actually take longer time to raise their babies to adulthood than I thought. Just an interesting tidbit I thought I'd share. :)

How cute!!
Thank you!
Interesting.
Thanks :)
Oh I would so go to jail if human kids were like baby birds....lol The noise, the nagging I would snap :) (well maybe not)
Heh, I do wonder how they can stand all the constant squawking. =)
Those parents are more kind than the eagles, who can leave their babies (not so babies then) for days, the time they youngs decide its time to go by themselves.
I guess it varies from bird to bird how much they take care of their young!
