Description
I based this on my daughter's college days,
I did feel so very sorry for her, well she was quite good at sports and the teacher asked her if she would like to join the Hockey team well as she put it "No I will not they play every Saturday I am in class five days a week do home work every night that's as much as I am doing.
On her last day in that all girls College she came home with a smile that said everything,
But then she went on to Un but at the end she got a good job. she had been told you know you have made when you get a job 9 to 5 in the city. well some days she starts at 7 and never seems to get finished at 5 she has worked her way up, she is no longer the little girl that sat on my knee learning Maths or simple programs on an computer or learn her way round the organ she is a woman but she is still my little girl

Very nice work on this. It is a bit sad, having to put so much time into something that you don't have time for anything else. Can be very draining and exhausting. Though I will say I did enjoy University and College even though it was a lot of time taken and work, I still had some good experiences there.
I hope there was still good times for her and that it wasn't too draining.
After she left University she had two bits of paper in her hand, she had thought of taking a year out just to lay her head down but her rest time went as far as two days she was offered a good job, but the hard work still goes on, now days those who clean the streets need letters after their name

I would love to know who made that sayin' up school is a hell camp the head master at my school could and did every time he could swing that cane, One day I felt the sting of his slaps just because when I was walking home a girl from the same class who lived just down the street from me walked with me, I was givin six of what he called the best, almost broke my hand, could not write most of the day
She will forever be your little girl and now she has learnt what we have known since we left school...there is never enough time :)

@radioham It is a shame that people have to put in so much time and energy and they don't always get back what they put into it. I am glad she managed to land a good job, though I hope she has time for proper breaks and vacation
It is an funny old world, when I was but a young lad I change what I worked at and where I worked, Now days if you get a job you have to hold on to it for dear life, just think of those who will come after our children will they get jobs or will machines rule in the work place

I was looking at a long term map of the south east coast line of England, If the sea level keeps rising at the rate it is doing the number of towns that will have sea water flowing in their streets is be on a joke. If something is not done soon these towns will be lost. The heads of our countries tell that we as Joe Public must cat down on the CO2 we make, But no one says about the CO2 produced each time they fire a rocket in to space, nor any talk about the amount that is made when Air Force one with the Fighters that follow it, All that Co2 for one man to take a trip
@radioham And then to reverse things, instead of looking at CO2 now they are discussing refreezing the arctic. Who knows how well that will go down.
Here is an LOL for you, we know the the great land masses with more trees that you could count on your fingers produce "O" that we need to breath in day light hours, but they produce CO2 in the hours of darkest, so one way to cut down the CO2 would be at each sun down we run out like headless hens and cut down all the trees then they would not make CO2 Oh no but then what will make the O for us, I give up on this world we have signed our own death notice
@radioham I think part of our mistake is thinking we can control and do what we want with things when ultimately in the end, it is nature who is in charge.
