I love HFY stories. Hope your sister gets to see a doctor soon. I can't imagine waiting that long.
Many thanks for the view and the comment She is here at the moment can't move her arm at all her arm looks sore, My Father worked in the Hospital in my home town from he came out of the army till he was 65 his eyes started to give funny vision when he became 70 so the same Hospital that he had worked in for all those years said that he would have to wait two years to get the op that he required, but if he paid private he could have it the next day well I will not say what he told them but the air went BLUE
That sounds terrible regarding your sister-in-law. I hope she gets in asap and her injury is addressed and resolved.
Medical here in Australia is very different and yes you need to wait to get in but you get in that day or night at the local Hospital. I am on a pension so I do not need private medical and there is no cost for anyone to go to the hospital here but yes, you do need to be patient when you get there as they process you based on injury, not when you arrive. I do need to make an appointment with my local GP but again, no costs and like your Father we need to wait extended times for surgery things and such but also based on what is required, so sometimes it my be years and other times just a day or three.
Thoroughly enjoyed your story and your tales are how I start my day now, I look forward to them and they help me ease into whatever the day has planned for me :)
Here in GB we have what is called NHS no don't LOL it was for many years great, but now days with all the cut backs well I won't say anything about it. They have on more than once saved me. A few years back A&E was open 24 7 no appointments you may have to wait but you got seen,3Now my local hospital open 08:30 till 17:00 no A&E after that, it closes Friday night at 17:00 and remains close till Monday at 08:00. But as I have said once they know that you have had heart attacks and been in Stoke wards more than once you kind off get in quick
Another great animation, good sir!
So you've gotta call this place before you show up, just so they can tell you to wait until tomorrow to go to the hospital?? Dang.... As many doctors, dentists, eye doctors, etc, etc, I've had to see lately I'm glad they don't have a process like that here in the USA. Hope all turns out well for your sis!
Mind you the number of Hospitals that have closed this last few years would tell you something they no longer have babies born in this town very few operations but they still do X rays but I do remember the old days the X rays were done on to film plates and then had to be D&P now days it is all computers no quicker
