It won't work, zombies are too dumb. Better to just unload a couple of truckloads onto the field, and then drive them towards the enemy with a whip, or throw raw meat into the enemy trench so they get the scent. They'll be battle thralls / human wave / fire screen for what follows. Have close combat troops (MP40 and potato masher grenades in this case) follow up behind this meat shield, and regular rifle squads flank.
