Most of you will not know but Holland apart from being very flat it is near level with the high tide mark of the sea,
As the North and South poles give up their long term Ice and Snow the sea level will rise the dikes that were built to stop the sea water flowing in will fail, and when they do there will not be a matter of a wee boy pushing his finger in to the dike that will stop the sea. It is the rise of CO2 gasses that cause the rise in heat, these gases are made by humans direct, also by cutting down of the rain trees to give us more land the making of O is being slowed down, we have written our own death we must stop, we must go back to simpler times, think of where most of our city's are London has built flood gates on the river, that will slow down the fall of the London but it will not stop it Think of New York it's remaining life span is getting shorter we as humans have done this, it will not be a matter of will it happen, it is an matter of when it will happen. It will come to past the sea will break over the dikes , London gates will hold it back for a while but that ice in the Poles has took Millions of years to reach it's size it will flood all the low lands better get my swim trucks out, Many thanks for the comment

Cool message and not denying Global warming just curious as to what the world was like when Antarctica was once covered by lush lands long ago (as per fossil and core samples found/taken) and sea levels were way higher than they are now.
Yes we have a responsibility to look after our home and I wonder if we are reacting to our living planet simply going through its cycle of life and putting all the blame on the us. Who knows really. Time will tell I guess.
Time in deed may tell the truth, it is an well known fact that this world of ours has had ELE a few times, will humans as we know them to be make it or be like the mighty T rex just a thing that once was, Well I don't think that I will see the answer You have been told to cut down on the CO2 that you make but have they looked at the CO2 that is made each time they send a Rocket up or when a Battle tank rolls on the battle front
I know what you say regarding the CO2, the hypocrisy right. That's why I tend to believe this is just another fear mongering exercise, filled with misinformation or a biased view that only serves to improve the wealth of leaders and big business at the cost of our sanity.
If we reduce the CO2 by too much then every plant on the planet dies. Considering the CO2 level is 0.04% and a drop of 0.01% to 0.02% is all that is needed to cause that to happen as discussed in the senate hearings in the US.
There are of course everyday things every one should/could do to protect the environment but all countries need to deal with all the pollution they create and then we may be able to turn things around.
This whole situation reminds of the DuPont scam with cfc's. When their patent for cfc was about to expire we suddenly had holes in the ozone, then everything switched to non-cfc and guess the name of the only company with the patent for that...lol. Funny enough the holes are still there, shrinking, expanding the way nature intended I guess.
Humans have been here for a blink of the Earths life, like the species before us and those that will come after were gone. The cycle of life will always continue with or without us. If we as a species cannot unite as a whole then we cannot save the world or even ourselves.
Just a few of my thoughts, not saying I am right or wrong or that other opinions are right or wrong either, Uni taught me to question and research everything to get the best understanding of a situation I could and so I do. I also believe in hope for everything and everyone. My favorite motto is from a movie called Galaxy Quest - "Never give up and never surrender"

You have every right to rant, I have in the past been told so many non truths, If only people would tell the truth. There is an person, no names given but you will know who it is, Left England with his wife a few years back, Wrote a book, said it was the truth about his life up to that point next when he was inform that because of the fact he had use class drugs in the past he could not stay in that country, he got up then and said not every thing was the truth Now what I would love to know when in the two statements did he tell the truth So you like "Galaxy Quest" well I don't blame you great movie great story line
I guess that's my biggest frustration is the truth is out there but hidden for a secret agenda by a select few. Keeping us ignorant seems to help them and keep us divided but it is what it is and they must realize that to us their lives seem so empty and shallow and to them maybe we look the same...lol In the end the truth will always win I believe or maybe I just cling on to foolish ideals but I am not changing....took me way to long to get used to myself....lmao
To most the only will ever know what they are told, when we look at green grass, we know and call it green and also that it is grass, why? because when we were young that is what we are told, Someone at some time give it that name, but late in the 50s the late and great Johnny Cash sag a song that states there is 40 shades of green when he came to Ireland. Now days most computers work on a 16 million shades and those computers work with 64 bit. What will happen when 128 or 256 bit computers become the norm, what will be the shade count then, will it reach into the billions would we know or see that many. To so many people alive today they have closed their minds to thinking even the so called super computer can not match the greatest and fastest computer known to man the human mind, and yet it is known that we as humans use but 10% of our mind, what happens when we think out side the box and see and hear all that is out there
