Description
The attack came from below—through broken floor tiles and elevator shafts. The undead didn’t swarm randomly. They flanked. They herded.
"Fall back! Fall back!" Petra shouted.
Rodriguez was cornered. Katarina broke formation, diving through a wall of flame and dragging him free.
After the chaos, they regrouped outside, panting and bleeding. Of the ten who entered, only five remained.
Petra looked at the smoldering building behind them. "He’s not just turning them. He’s teaching them."
Chapter 4: Broken Ranks
The survivors were shaken. Morale was crumbling. Petra tried to hold command, but the others listened more to Katarina’s flexible tactics.
That night, arguments broke out. A mutiny in everything but name.
