Description
The wings of the White Witch Moth measure almost 12 inches! That makes it the largest insect in the world.
It's name possibly originated from it being a tempting target for hunters, who were more likely to hit the moths big wings, rather than it's small body. Thus it would fly off like it was an immortal witch!
