Jesus gave his life for humanity, presumably in the hope that they would eventually learn from their mistakes and act morally in accordance with Christian teachings.
But even the most long-suffering and patient person eventually has enough!
I hope believing Christians don't find this blasphemous, because that is NOT my intention!
However, one can despair of human stupidity: there are constantly new conflicts and wars. Whether in Russia, the USA, China, or more recently in India: the human desire to destroy one another is apparently unabated!
