The forest was dark and overgrown. No one from the cities around it would go into it, not even to look for food. There had been a legend, told for generations, that the Forest Queen roamed through the woods, and that she did NOT tolerate human visitors. However, what the humans didn’t know, is that when it came to the animal citizens of her domain, she was nothing but a pleasant caretaker. The queen made sure that all of her subjects were safe and well fed, and made time to regularly talk with them and enjoy their company.
