Description
To streamline commuter traffic on the narrow-gauge lines in the Ore Mountains, the German Reichsbahn (DR) procured several PV40 passenger cars from the Soviet Union in the mid-1960s. These cars were thoroughly tested on the workers' transport of the Konsum brush factory Stützengrün on the Wilkau-Haßlau–Carlsfeld line. In addition to the passenger cars, a buffet car was also tested. The photo shows the brush factory's VC-10 locomotive, the buffet car, and a passenger coach. The exact location of the photograph is unfortunately unknown.
