Samurai were if my classes in Japanese history told the truth, were all male, they had a code by which they lived Japanese ladies were quite often home makers, and members of the Ninja clan, people who did not fight within the code who killed for payment and if they where caught died in the most painful way, such was life in Japan
You're right, of course. Samurai were exclusively men. The beauty of such "what if..." ideas is to break down rigid boundaries and play with (theoretical) possibilities. I hope you enjoyed it anyway!
