Description
The theme of many a sci-fi film: the characters suddenly find themselves in a completely different time and must deal with the realities of the new environment.
Usually, it involves someone from the present ending up either in the past or a possible future.
But what if, for example, a Roman gladiator, by a twist of fate, finds himself in New York's Times Square?

I think Americans are so familiar with all kinds of craziness, all kinds of eccentricity, and self-actualization that a time traveler probably wouldn't stand out much. Maybe they're also assuming a movie is being made... :o))

I love this concept. And I love that you did someone from the past going forward in time rather than the other way.
Peoples first reaction would be that this is some sort of marketing gimmick for a movie, or book, or wrestling event or something. Then the NYPD would be called if he has a weapon in hand, because there even a stiff piece of cardboard is a deadly weapon. Then the story would be ON.
Other options are also conceivable. NYPD officers could shoot him prophylactically before asking him questions... :o)) Or they could capture him and put him on the next plane to South America, along with deportees and other, now undesirable, individuals. The fact that the people concerned don't speak English will certainly be helpful as an indicator of the need for immediate deportation...
