Happy birthday to bass riffmistress extraordinaire, Melissa auf der Maur; probably best known for her grammy-nominated performance on Hole's "Celebrity Skin"....(27 years ago!!! eek!!!) which coincidentally, as well as being a personal fave, was the first rock song my teenage goddaughter , who has taken to the bass in a big way, learned with her school band
