Description
These Toyger Cats where made with the Hivewire Housecat with the texture of the Hivewire Big Cat Tigers. They look like the pictures of the real Toyger Cats that were pictured on the web site where I found this information.
The Toyger is a breed of domestic cat, the result of breeding domestic shorthaired tabbies (beginning in the 1980s) to make them resemble a "toy tiger", as its striped coat is reminiscent of the tiger's. The breed's creator, Judy Sugden, has stated that the breed was developed in order to inspire people to care about the conservation of tigers in the wild. It was recognized for "registration only" by The International Cat Association in the early 2000s, and advanced through all requirements to be accepted as a full championship breed in 2012. There are about 20 breeders in the United States and another 15 or so in the rest of the world, as of 2012.

Thank you for your comment. These cats are very beautiful & interesting. I discovered them a few years ago when I was doing research on cat breeds. I don't think I will ever see one of these high-priced cats in my backyard eating with the community cats I fed every day.

They are beautiful, I will never own a designer cat but my community cats that come to my backyard are also beautiful & they need me to care for them.

I agree and newborn kittens are one of the most beautiful things I have ever experienced. I took in two pregnant strays so they would have a safe place to have their babies. One of them let me be with her while she was in labor and even let me rub her belly between kittens, the other one had her kittens when I wasn't at home. I fostered the moms and kittens until the kittens were old enough to be adopted and both moms where also adopted, it was a such a wonder experience.
