been doing this all my life. it's solid. i bought jack stands once. i had just crawled out from beneath the car for a wrench; the stand collapsed. never used them again. but be wise, never raise a vehicle on a slope.
Reminds me of some of the things I saw here during the late 70s and early 80s here in NYC. Great find.
