He sat silent. As he casually minded to his drink, he glanced out the window. One of the magnificent vessels of Starfleet hung in the distance. He had to admire the smooth clean lines and power of such vessel, albeit with a bit of envy. His gaze shifted down to an old and outdated little Ore hauler that hung just outside the stations inner perimeter. It really wasn't much to look at, but it had kept him a steady income and a modest savings. He had considered selling it off, and along with his savings, then purchase a much nice and more advanced hauler. But then, why? He had all he needed and was comfortable in the old ship. There was no where he particularly wanted to go or see, so the small regional operations here suited him. There was really no need for bigger and fancier, not to mention burning his retirement savings. He grinned to himself as he slowly turned in the chair, looking out across the small lounge. He had friends and connections here. It was a good little community, and he knew everything coming and going. Life for him here was good.
