The word for 'garment(coats)' in Hebrew is 'kethoneth' [to cover, hide] which refers to a long garment woven from shoulder to toe, completely covering the body. The skin represents the sacrifice of an animal, showing that something innocent had to die in place of the guilty, pointing to the future sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who would shed His blood on the cross to cover our sins and transgressions. Afterward, God drove them out of the Garden of Eden because Adam and Eve had broken His Word.
