The Mama Duck visits places around the world and staying behind is a baby duck in each place. Toronto got Lucky for their baby duck! And Mama Duck still comes back to visits their babies and the locals over the years.

I remember taking the kids to see the big mama duck during one of those visits.
Admittedly I didn't know about the Baby duck being left behind. We learn something new everyday.
I only found out about the baby duck when I went to visit the Sugar Shack. I mean I saw the baby during the 150th for Canada where people were taking photos but I didn't know he was staying either until later :)
