@Clemenceau I don't think you have to worry about annexation in Canada (yet!). According to a recent news report, he is planning to gain control of Greenland (no joke!). Greenland has officially been part of the Danish state since 1953 and has been a Danish colony since 1721. During his first term in office, he wanted to force Greenland away from the Danes and they have already clearly rejected him, and rightly so! The idiot is not yet in office and is already causing trouble! Arrogant, reckless and, above all, presumptuous! So, before anything happens to you in Canada, he might invade Greenland first, where there is probably much less military resistance to be expected and, in terms of raw materials, probably greater loot. The leader of "the free world" on the prowl, now I know how he wants to make "America great again"...

Somehow you feel like you're in the wrong movie!

I don't understand his zealotry about Greenland - the US already has a base there, in collaboration with NORAD.

And none of these invasions/annexations he is proposing do anything to bring down the price of eggs and bacon.

But one thing many people don't understand about Canadians - we have two modes - "I'm sorry," and "You'll be Sorry."

RodS, Greenland is a recurring theme - a "purchase" that was previously attempted by Trump. It's nothing more than a piece of real estate that must be acquired as a vanity project. These "annexations" are being compared to the Louisiana purchase, however that was the sale of land by a colonial power (France). These are all sovereign nations, whose people have opposing opinions.

He's such a horse's ass.... To be completely honest this man scares the living S**T out of me. I honestly wish someone would pop up and put him out of our misery. I am not looking forward to January at all. Now he's wanting to take back the Panama Canal... And some folks here wonder why I despise the fool? God help us!
