Bilbo put down his goblet he was drinking from, a gift from the dwarves under the mountain, and closed the book he was using to recording his previous journeys and sighed as another knock was heard from hsi front door. “No more well wishers or distant relations”, Bilbo could be heard yelling from his writing nook as he was walking to the door. The goblet, book and the map they were sitting on was not the only thing Bilbo left on the table in a hste to answer the door. “My precious” as it had been called by many over the years. Men had fought wars and died for it, others had killed their friends to possess it. Bilbo was no different, oh he was no murder, but he quickly pushed his guest away and slammed the door to get back to the precious item still sitting on the table waiting for its true master to come collect it… We always watch The Hobbit trilogy and Lord of the Rings with friends during the Christmas season.
