Description

*Every smattering of our knowledge, it starts from feelings.* Leonardo Da Vinci --------------------- This is another work composed in natural media, postworked in Photoshop (To use with fun that Extrude filter.. :P I must admit!) and Painter, which was part of the past December Theme in the 2D Forum. The need of human touch is universal. To believe we are the only creatures who needs and deserves it it's a fake and very presumptious assumption. But sadly, human beings are not only strict about this touch towards others creatures, but also among themselves.Which turns out to be a very sad, sad thing don't you think? Anyway, enjoy.. next piece will be my contribute to the January Theme , Fire and Ice, and my second attempt at Photoshop Colouring ;)

Very beautyful, Melania! and Ia lso like the clowns, but the monkey is very very nice and i feel sorry for him. I like your color pictures very much too!1!! But why artists more ofen draw blak and white in pencil and color pictures in oils/ackrylls and not vise versa I have never seen black and white oile paintings and you rarely use color pencils?

every single word that could have explained my feelings for your piece was mentioned by my friends up there ^ , the only thing that i could tell you , that if you come to add one single brush stroke , you'll propably will ring out my tears , i'never thought i would come to have feelings towards a monkey , but i did , and that's simply your own victory... well done gallimel

This study has always lingered in my brain since I learned about it a few years back. I have always felt a great sorrow for this little monkey. I relate by thinking back to when I was a little tot and remembering the huge attachment I had to my mom. What is equally disturbing (I try to shake off my human bias) is a study done on "little Albert." It was a classical conditioning study that involved scaring a little baby with rats and other furry objects including Santa's face. Okay, I went off on a tangent there, but the point is that your image evoked a response. Well done. I love that you take the time to add thoughts and writings to your works. I look forward to your future submissions.

I am very familiar with the photo from which this originates! It is a very touching image, that shoots straight to the core of what were are, all animals need love, and the touch of another is the greatest medicine/magic that we can experience. This is a wonderful treatment, while maintaining the powerful message that it invokes. Great work!
