Description
Cities are a collective achievement of mankind and offer many advantages. You never have to go too far to get something you need for yourself and your life, whether it's a butcher, baker, hardware store or supermarket - everything is within reach!
But life in big cities also has disadvantages. - Since people live very close to each other, in unforeseen events, far more people are directly affected than would be the case in a village, for example.
Whether caused by an earthquake, a fire, or by attacks by foreign powers in the event of a war - these incidents show us the (very) vulnerable side of city life.

Seeing that I live in the forested foothills, there is the constant threat of fire running wild here. Cities have more resources to deal with problems that the rural areas. - Bob
